24.02.2026 - 22:23Ukraine could blow up the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines, which run along the bottom of the Black Sea.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said this at a meeting of the FSB board.
According to him, such an attack could be carried out in order to derail negotiations on Ukraine.
Putin also instructed the FSB to strengthen protection for Russian security officials, politicians, civil servants, journalists, and volunteers, claiming that Ukraine is behind the increased number of terrorist attacks in Russia.
“They failed to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield, so the enemy is betting on individual and mass terror. This includes shelling of cities, sabotage of infrastructure, and attempts on representatives of state and military authorities,” the Russian president said.
In addition, he said there were plans to use nuclear weapons against Russia.
“The enemy does not shy away from any means: information has reached us about an intention to use a nuclear component. They probably understand how that could end,” the Russian leader said.
Earlier, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service claimed that the United Kingdom and France intended to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine, after which Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev threatened all three countries with a nuclear strike.
