29.03.2026 16:12In Kharkiv region, military enlistment officers took two monks from the Pishchansky Men’s Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) to a territorial recruitment center.
This was reported on the monastery’s Facebook page.
“Today, representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine and the territorial recruitment center burst into our monastery and, using physical force, abducted Archimandrite Leontii and me, Hieromonk Arsenii. We were brought to a territorial recruitment center office and are being held locked up,” monk Arsenii Khibin wrote.
The Pishchansky Monastery of the UOC is located in the city of Izium in eastern Kharkiv region.
Earlier, media reported that in Khmelnytskyi, military enlistment officers forcibly mobilized a UOC priest.
Media outlets also reported that a mobilized priest from Lviv died during military training exercises.
