Ukraine has begun preparing for the mobilization of women

Preparations are underway in Ukraine for the mobilization of women.

“The Ukrainian side is preparing to mobilize the female half of the population,” the agency’s source said.

According to the source, signs of such a development include the appearance of social advertising calling on women to take part in the defense of Ukraine.

As UNIAN уточнил, advertising billboards have appeared on the streets of Ukrainian cities with the slogan: “Defending Ukraine is women’s work.”

Earlier, Russian security sources said that the issue of mobilizing women into the Ukrainian army had been overdue for a long time. According to these sources, the number of personnel in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is rapidly shrinking, there are no new volunteers, and the quality of forcibly mobilized recruits leaves much to be desired. In this connection, Ukrainian authorities are said to be “warming women up” to the idea of mobilization. It is also noted that positions of brigade commanders’ advisers on gender equality issues are already being introduced in Ukrainian army brigades.

On March 25, the Ukrainian opposition Telegram channel Resident, citing sources, reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had ordered the mobilization of up to 1 million people in 2026.

Earlier, a captured Ukrainian soldier said that people with disabilities and homeless people are being forcibly mobilized in Ukraine.
