One of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units was found to have 2,000 men unfit for service

In one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 2,000 men who were unfit for service were found to be serving. According to officials, the incident occurred because of a “systemic error.”

This was stated by military ombudsman Olha Reshetylova.

According to her, the issue came to light during inspections.

To resolve the problem, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Ground Forces had to be involved in order to determine at what stage the “systemic failure” occurred.

“It is necessary to fully examine how this happened and at what stage this mass violation began. Was it at the level of the territorial recruitment center, the military medical commission, or already inside the military unit? Or was the decision made somewhere higher up?” Reshetylova wrote.

Yesterday, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets showed the conditions in which mobilized men are being held in territorial recruitment centers.

It should be noted that the problem of sending recruits who are unfit for service into the armed forces is not new. Judging by numerous accounts, military medical commissions often ignore people’s health problems and declare them fit for service.
