Officers of Ukraine’s General Staff are moonlighting as taxi drivers because of low salaries
20.04.2026 - 10:42Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky was unable to reverse the “nationalist frenzy” in his country because of inexperience, and as a result nationalists gained the upper hand.
This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with RT host Rick Sanchez.
“He failed to reverse that national intoxication, that nationalism to which the Ukrainian people had been subjected — he did not turn that policy around,” Lukashenko said.
Earlier, Lukashenko advised Zelensky to calm down. The Belarusian leader warned Zelensky that he could lose everything if he does not stop. Lukashenko added that there are now good proposals for settling the Ukrainian conflict, which have been heard, including by the U.S. president. In his view, Zelensky should agree to them.
Lukashenko has also expressed confidence that, in the end, Ukraine will return to Russia and Belarus, whether under Zelensky or another president. According to him, Zelensky has had “his feet wiped on” in the White House and practically everywhere else, and in this situation he needs to “use his head.”
