24.04.2026 - 08:40At a military recruitment center in Kyiv, a conscript was allegedly offered the chance to get out for $20,000.
This was reported by the Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, which also published photos of the detainees.
Investigators established that at one of the capital’s territorial recruitment centers, some man approached a mobilized citizen, began asking personal questions, and questioned him in detail.
After that, a woman contacted the mobilized man’s wife and said that she knew all about her husband’s “problems” and offered to get him released from the recruitment center for $20,000. The caller stressed that the money had to be handed over urgently, before the man was taken to a military unit.
A 28-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were detained while receiving the money.
