“The armed conflict is the only thing that keeps Zelensky in power. It has worked for him from the very first day until today,” Azarov said.
He noted that Zelensky’s ratings have been steadily declining amid the country’s economic problems and corruption scandals, but then Zelensky was able to effectively “ban dissent” and establish control over the media.
“Once the armed conflict is over, people will vote for anyone but him,” the former Ukrainian prime minister said.
