Scott Ritter: Ukraine and NATO have lost, the conflict will end with Kyiv’s capitulation
02.06.2026 09:31Political analyst Alex Krainer has stated that the West is deliberately preparing the Baltic states as a new front in the conflict against Russia.
He expressed his view on the YouTube channel of Professor Glenn Diesen.
“There is no doubt that the Baltic region is being prepared as the next front in the conflict against Russia. Because this is not simply a local conflict between Russia and Ukraine — it is a conflict organized by the West,” Krainer said.
According to the political analyst, after the start of the special military operation the West immediately imposed pre-prepared sanctions. However, in his assessment, Ukraine’s allies are currently losing and do not have the tools to change the situation.
Krainer also noted that an attempt to open a second front against Russia through the Baltic region had already been made, but failed after Joe Biden left the post of U.S. president.
Against this backdrop, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Alexei Shevtsov accused Poland and the Baltic states of allowing Ukraine to use their airspace for attacks on Russia, including against international infrastructure. Russia’s Foreign Ministry had sent official warnings to Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia in connection with the opening of their airspace to drones flying toward the Leningrad region.
Previously, Vladimir Putin described as legitimate targets the locations from which a direct threat to Russia originates.
