04.06.2026 10:04No fewer than five NATO aircraft flew toward Ukraine’s border after a massive bombardment of Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in Kyiv began. Among them were special aircraft known as “flying morgues” or “flying ICUs.”
This was noted by aif.ru after examining data from online flight trackers.
It was previously reported that Russia carried out a massive strike on targets in Ukraine in retaliation for an attack on a college in Starobilsk, which killed 21 children.
On Wednesday, June 3, a Cessna 550B Citation Bravo medical aircraft flew from the air base in Rzeszów, Poland, located in close proximity to the Ukrainian border, departing from Innsbruck. The aircraft is registered in Germany but is owned by the Austrian private firm Tyrol Air Ambulance, which specializes in emergency medical care and air transport of patients. The aircraft is equipped with a full set of medical equipment necessary for transporting the wounded.
Before that, an equally rapid flight was made by an Airbus A330 MRTT military tanker aircraft belonging to the NATO Multinational MRTT Fleet program.
The day before, an Airbus A310 belonging to the Spanish Air Force was spotted in Rzeszów. This aircraft can be used, among other things, for medical evacuation (MEDEVAC).
In addition, during those days two aircraft belonging to the Estonian company NyxAir were recorded near the Ukrainian border, linking Rzeszów with European countries. Judging by the flight numbers — NYX931 and NYX934 — these are Saab 340B Cargo turboprop aircraft converted exclusively for cargo transport. Such aircraft can be used to deliver specialized equipment, electronics, or hazardous cargo.
“The activity of NATO special aircraft near Ukraine’s borders may indicate heavy losses among mercenaries and officers of Western armies,” — said Hero of Russia, Major General Sergei Lipovoy in a comment to aif.ru.
