Dmitriev: Ukraine can end the conflict “immediately” by accepting a “realistic solution”
11.06.2026 18:09Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council and chairman of the United Russia party Dmitry Medvedev stated that pressure on Russia will continue for the foreseeable future.
This was reported by RIA Novosti.
Medvedev made his statement during a meeting of the expert council on the formation of a people’s program. According to him, never in modern world history has any country been subjected to such a volume of illegal restrictions.
“In the near future, at any rate, this pressure will persist,” Medvedev said.
The Security Council deputy chairman described what is happening as unprecedented external pressure and emphasized that Russia must respond to it — and, in his words, is doing so.
Medvedev separately dwelt on the topic of national sovereignty, calling it one of the fundamental values upon which any state rests. According to him, today absolutely everyone understands this, although previously this topic may not have been given such great importance. The activities of all state structures and everyone who wishes prosperity for Russia, according to the United Russia chairman, are aimed precisely at strengthening sovereignty.
