Putin congratulates Trump on his 80th birthday and expresses hope for improved relations

Vladimir Putin sent Donald Trump a congratulatory telegram on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

The text of the message was published by the Kremlin.

In the address, the Russian president expressed confidence that through joint efforts the two leaders could improve relations between the two countries and strengthen international security.

“I am confident that together we could truly bring Russian-American relations to a new level, and also do much to ensure security and stability on the world stage,” the message reads.
