Belarus MFA: the West should stop taking the human rights issue to the point of absurdity

Poland’s military aid to Ukraine in 2024–2026 fell fifteenfold compared to the figures for 2022–2023.

This is indicated by data from the country’s Ministry of Defense, published by the outlet Rzeczpospolita.

Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that Warsaw has transferred a total of 16.55 billion zlotys’ worth of aid to Kyiv. Of that amount, approximately 15 billion zlotys came in 2022–2023 — an average of 7.5 billion zlotys per year. The 2024–2026 period accounts for only 1.55 billion zlotys, or an average of roughly 0.52 billion zlotys per year.

The largest volumes of aid were approved during the rule of the Law and Justice party. The total value of weapons transferred in 2022–2023 is estimated at approximately 15 billion zlotys (around EUR 3.5 billion).

The list of transferred weapons included T-72, PT-91, and Leopard 2A4 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, MiG-29 aircraft, Mi-24 helicopters, artillery, ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles, air defense systems, and PAC-3 missiles for Patriot complexes.

Commenting on his predecessors’ decisions, Kosiniak-Kamysz said:

“Those were the times of our predecessors. Today they don’t want to remember that they transferred this weaponry. I will not only remind them of it, but I will also defend those decisions,” the minister said.

Ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk urged the Polish delegation to “exercise caution in any statements about further financial support” for Ukraine.
