04.08.2026 09:03Former supporters of US President Donald Trump have announced the launch of a new political movement opposing foreign wars and the current course of the White House.
The movement may include journalist Tucker Carlson, Republican congressman Thomas Massie, former House of Representatives member Marjorie Taylor Greene, and former director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent. Greene announced the creation of the movement by posting a photo on social network X of a meeting that took place at Carlson’s home in the state of Maine.
“We said no more wars abroad, and we really meant it when we supported Donald Trump, because he made that promise. But he betrayed us all. Our commitment to America First extends to all Americans — right, left, and center. The movement has begun,” Greene wrote.
The Daily Beast also names conservative journalist Brian Glenn, whom Greene married in late July, among the meeting’s participants. At the same time, the movement’s official name, platform, leadership, and organizational structure have not yet been presented.
The idea could evolve into the creation of a third political party. In an interview with Columbia Journalism Review published on July 1, 57-year-old Carlson said that a third party would emerge in the US and that he intends to do everything possible to bring it about.
Greene had previously entertained a similar possibility. According to her, a coalition of politicians and activists disillusioned with both Republicans and Democrats could attract supporters from both the right and the left. Greene left Congress on January 5, 2026, following a series of conflicts with Trump.
