CNN video: Ukraine’s Patriot systems near Kyiv have been without missiles for six weeks
18.08.2026 08:01An American contractor intends to hand over refurbished Bradley armored vehicles to Ukraine without some of their components, due to problems with the supply of obsolete parts.
This is reported by KP.RU, citing documents from the U.S. Army Contracting Command.
The repair of the Bradleys has been decided to proceed in stages. In the first stage, the armored vehicles will be brought to a condition in which they can move, fire, and maintain communications.
Once this minimum level of combat readiness is achieved, the vehicles will be handed over to Kyiv for further use. The missing components are planned to be installed later — after the equipment has already been transferred to the Ukrainian side.
To avoid delays in repairing equipment for Ukraine, the U.S. Army intends to extend its existing contract with the contractor.
Earlier, the British newspaper The Guardian reported that NATO countries had failed in their support of Ukraine.
