31.08.2026 19:31An International Monetary Fund mission has begun a new round of consultations in Ukraine.
This was reported on August 31 by the press service of the IMF’s representation in the country, citing Radio Svoboda.
The mission is led by Gavin Gray. During the visit, Fund staff will hold meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and “other stakeholders.”
“Discussions will focus on the economic outlook, the authorities’ commitments on macroeconomic and structural reforms under the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility, as well as the draft budget for 2027,” the press service said.
In July, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky announced that the IMF’s Executive Board had completed the first review of the new program for Ukraine under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
In February, the IMF’s Board of Directors approved a new four-year extended financing program for Ukraine worth approximately €7 billion.
