Putin bans strikes on Kyiv for three days — in anticipation of American special envoys
05.09.2026 16:01The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has commented on searches conducted at the Office of the Prosecutor General, announcing the exposure of a criminal organization led by the head of one of the agency’s departments.

The information was published by NABU’s press service on Telegram.
According to investigators, the organization provided cover for fraudulent call centers and laundered the proceeds. The scheme was set up in mid-2025. It involved active prosecutors and individuals close to the organizer, who systematically received bribes in exchange for non-interference in the call centers’ operations. Both Ukrainians and foreigners fell victim to the fraudsters.
The investigation established that more than 20 million hryvnias were spent on real estate, jewelry, and other property. Assets worth more than 12 million hryvnias were transferred to third parties, and over 10 million hryvnias were placed in accounts belonging to associates under the guise of business income. NABU reports that five members of the organization have been identified; the investigation is ongoing and other possible suspects are being established.
Particular attention was drawn to new NABU audio recordings featuring an official of the Prosecutor General’s Office operating under the alias “Chancellor.” In one recording, he says: “If you’re going to f**k, f**k a queen; if you’re going to steal, steal a million,” adding that he loves “only the best.” The conversation is conducted in Russian.
Member of parliament from European Solidarity Oleksiy Honcharenko claims that the voice on the recording belongs to Serhiy Kropyva, head of the cyber department of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
In the same recordings, the Chancellor discusses matters of secrecy — in particular, he is wary of displaying luxury items too openly.
“I’ve learned to talk in a way that no one understands me. It helps me hide from the NABU guys,” he says during the conversation.
The Chancellor also advises his interlocutor, who goes by the alias “Muse,” to delete photos of luxury items and travels from Instagram. She complains that she will have to delete “absolutely everything.”
“I’ve got a Porsche here, Laura Piano… Watches, bracelets, bags. I have to delete everything,” says Muse.
In addition, the Chancellor discusses with his interlocutor his Franc Müller watch worth $59,000 and mentions a chain whose price, he says, is “like someone’s annual salary.”
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office published photographs from the searches at the home of the head of a structural unit of the Office of the Prosecutor General. According to media reports, this refers to Kropyva. The images show, among other things, a safe packed full of cash. Earlier, media reported the detention of the head of the cybersecurity department of the Office of the Prosecutor General in connection with this case.
