Kravchenko resigns: what it means for Zelensky’s political position
08.09.2026 10:31The national security advisers of the United Kingdom, Germany and France took part in negotiations on settling the Russian-Ukrainian conflict held in Kyiv.
This was reported by U.S. presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff on his X social media page.
“In Kyiv, the national security advisers of the United Kingdom, Germany and France also joined the delegations to work together on next steps,” Witkoff wrote.
According to the American special envoy, significant progress was made during the meeting. In particular, the parties agreed on a schedule for additional trilateral talks between Washington, Kyiv and Moscow.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the United States is discussing with Russia and Ukraine possible de-escalation measures. According to him, the proposals under discussion touch on energy, grain supplies, and oil and gas exports, though no final agreements have been reached yet.
The Verkhovna Rada, meanwhile, stated that the American settlement proposals have worsened for Ukraine.
