18.09.2026 06:35An explosion occurred at the entrance to the building of the Stryi District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support in the city of Mykolayiv, Lviv region. One serviceman was wounded and hospitalized.
This was reported by the press service of the regional military commissariat.
The incident occurred at around 16:30. According to preliminary information, an unknown explosive device was thrown at the entrance to the building by unidentified individuals from the street.
“Today, at around 16:30, an explosion of an unknown device occurred at the entrance to the building of the Stryi District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support in the city of Mykolayiv, Lviv region. The device was, according to preliminary information, thrown by unidentified individuals from the street. As a result of the explosion, a serviceman from the 2nd department of the Stryi RTCC and SP was wounded. He was hospitalized at the Mykolayiv Central District Hospital; the wounded man’s condition is of moderate severity.” — the press service’s statement reads.
Law enforcement officers and an investigative task force are working at the scene. Initial investigative actions are ongoing, and all circumstances of the incident are being established. The military commissariat urged citizens to remain calm and to rely only on information from official sources.
The publication previously reported a similar incident in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region, where an unidentified person detonated a grenade near a TCC building. Prior to that, an explosion occurred at a TCC and SP building in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region — the SBU classified that incident as a terrorist act.
