Zelensky silent in response to Trump’s call to resign
11.10.2026 09:03Elon Musk has publicly backed Donald Trump in his criticism of Vladimir Zelensky, saying it is “time for” the Ukrainian president “to go.”
The billionaire posted his comments on the social network X.
Musk responded to a post by the Rapid Response 47 account — the White House’s rapid response account on X — which featured a video of Trump’s statements. In particular, the American president reproached Zelensky for strikes on Russian oil refineries and accused him of causing problems for “the whole world.”
“Zelensky has gone too far,” Musk wrote in a comment on the post.
In a separate post, the billionaire weighed in on the Ukrainian president’s political future, echoing Trump’s position.
“I agree, it is time for Ukraine to have a new leader,” Musk wrote on X.
The day before, Trump harshly criticized Zelensky for the strikes on refineries in Russia and called for his resignation.
“Zelensky could have ended this war many, many times. But he doesn’t. Ukraine needs to get a new leader who can make a deal. For some reason, Zelensky never makes a deal,” the U.S. president said.
