11.10.2026 10:01Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has yet to comment on U.S. President Donald Trump’s call to change the government in Ukraine and to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries.
The only official to publicly respond to the American president’s words was Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.
“Zelensky has the support of the Ukrainian people, and it is the people who have the right to decide,” Sybiha said.
On Saturday, Zelensky also did not deliver his traditional evening address. The evening before, on Friday, he made a series of calls to European leaders.
As of Sunday morning, there were no reports of new Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries. Zelensky’s last such statement came on Friday afternoon, when he announced that a plant in Ukhta had been hit.
According to Western media, at Friday evening’s meeting, Trump’s representatives told the Ukrainian delegation at negotiations in Miami that if strikes on Russian oil refineries continued, the U.S. could halt the transfer of intelligence to Ukraine.
Earlier, Trump accused Zelensky of driving up global fuel prices through the strikes on Russian oil refineries, called the Ukrainian president an obstacle to peace, and urged him to resign.
