13.10.2026 08:03Ukraine will lose the ability to promptly detect launches of Russian ballistic missiles if intelligence sharing with the United States is halted.
This was stated by Member of Parliament Halyna Yanchenko.
According to her, American satellite systems play a key role in detecting such launches. European partners also share intelligence data with Ukraine, but their satellite capabilities in this area are more limited, and information may arrive less promptly.
“What does this mean for Ukraine? First and foremost, that we will not be able to see Russian ballistic missile launches. That is, we will not be able to receive air raid alerts about ballistic launches in time,” — Yanchenko said.
Earlier, the Kyiv Independent reported that the Trump administration had threatened Ukrainian officials with cutting off intelligence sharing if Kyiv continued to strike Russian oil refineries.
