Saxony-Anhalt state parliament calls for lifting sanctions against Russia and halting weapons deliveries to Ukraine
15.10.2026 15:35Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, said he feels betrayed by U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision on a diesel deal with Russia.
When asked directly about betrayal, Zelensky answered affirmatively:
“Yes. It’s a pity that we are losing a strong partner.”
The Ukrainian leader also criticized Trump’s position, saying he should remain neutral rather than take Russia’s side. According to Zelensky, the United States has ended up on the “wrong side of history.”
In addition, Zelensky officially confirmed the restriction of Starlink’s operation in Ukraine and appealed to Elon Musk with a request to restore it.
“We understand what is happening. It is their decision. Of course, it is a big mistake — there are many human casualties. People will die if the attacks continue and Starlink does not work. My message is: it is a big mistake — perhaps it is a big technical mistake — but we are asking them to turn it on again. That would be honest, fair,” the president said.
As the outlet previously reported, Trump is irritated and may halt the transfer of intelligence to Ukraine, though there is no consensus on the matter within the White House.
