Zelensky: US is supplying Ukraine with four times fewer Patriot missiles than under Biden
19.10.2026 08:08U.S. President Donald Trump accused Volodymyr Zelensky of being unwilling to end the war and said the Ukrainian leader could have struck a better deal two years ago.
Trump published his statement on the social network Truth Social.
“Zelensky doesn’t care. And frankly, with all the money that Europe is generously giving him, and that crook Joe Biden gave him before, he doesn’t want to end this war and probably never did,” Trump wrote.
According to him, the delay has cost Ukraine enormously.
“He could have made a better deal two years ago than he can make now. His country is in ruins, a large portion of the territory is lost, he has lost oceans and seas, and the male population has been reduced, wounded and/or killed. I want this war to end!” the U.S. president stated.
Trump separately accused Zelensky of striking Russian oil refineries. According to the American president, attacks on refineries that produce diesel fuel are causing serious damage to global diesel markets, including in the United States, and are hurting farmers, ranchers, and various businesses. Trump also noted that Russia “nevertheless supplies the world with millions of barrels of diesel at a low price.”
Trump also explained why he refuses to sign new sanctions against Russia.
“We are making great progress, including in the current hostage negotiations. Signing this document now will drive Russia away from the negotiating table. I can sign it later, or at any time I want,” Trump wrote.
In recent days, Trump had already been harshly criticizing Zelensky and stated that the war would not end with him.
