27.10.2026 08:31A ceasefire regime has been declared in the area of Oleshky in the Kherson region to conduct a humanitarian mission.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the silence regime took effect today at 3:00 Kyiv time (4:00 Moscow time) in certain territories connected with the humanitarian operation. The mission is being conducted jointly with the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights, Yana Lantratova, with the mediation and coordination of US First Lady Melania Trump.
Lubinets noted that the parties are observing the agreements reached.
“I will continue to inform the public about the news, taking into account above all the safety of civilians in Oleshky and the implementation of the established agreements,” the ombudsman said.
Russia also confirmed the ceasefire in Oleshky. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that, in connection with preparations for a humanitarian operation in the area of the settlement of Alyoshki (as Oleshky is called in Russia) in the Kherson region, the Russian Armed Forces have ceased fire in the Kherson direction and introduced a “silence regime” from 4:00 Moscow time on October 27, 2026.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian marine spokesman Pavlo Drohal reported that as of 9:00 Russia was observing the truce in the Oleshky area, and no violations had been recorded.
The ceasefire regime will apply not only to Oleshky but also to other areas of the Kherson region and neighboring regions through which humanitarian routes will pass. The war in Ukraine is ongoing for the 1,707th day.
