Streeting: NATO must be ready for war with Russia in 1,000 days
28.10.2026 14:03Former Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko said he considers Ukrainian special services and Ukrainska Pravda journalist Mykhailo Tkach involved in the assassination attempt on businessman Vadym Yermolaiev in Monaco. According to his claim, they wanted to deal with him in Vienna in exactly the same way.
He wrote this on his Telegram channel.
According to Kravchenko, two servicemen of the GUR “Artan” unit were detained in Vienna, and their commander Viktor Torkotiuk was also in Austria at the time of the detention. One of those detained is a former NABU employee who worked in the external surveillance unit.
“Back in September I received information that a group of individuals had been sent after me, who were supposed to commit unlawful violent acts against me. At the time I was told directly that the heads of NABU and SAPO had asked to send this group. I also know that orders to this group came from the Office of the President. So far I have no reliable information about who exactly gave the criminal order. According to my data, Torkotiuk was promised a position in exchange for this,” Kravchenko noted.
The ex-prosecutor general compared this case to the assassination attempt on businessman Yermolaiev in Monaco, implying that GUR employees and Tkach could be involved in it, and that, according to Kravchenko, a criminal investigation against Tkach continues in Austria.
“I also see parallels with events of a similar nature that occurred this summer in Monaco. That criminal proceeding is being handled, in particular, by prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General. I have information about the circumstances of the events. In Austria, an investigation continues against four individuals, including two representatives of Ukrainska Pravda. Mykhailo Tkach was in Monaco on the eve of the incident involving GUR employees, and also in Vienna during the period when the GUR employees were detained. The legal assessment of these circumstances, the connection between the individuals involved and the nature of their activities in both cases fall within the competence of European law enforcement agencies,” the ex-prosecutor general wrote.
We covered in a separate piece the details of the detention in Austria of the Ukrainians who were following Kravchenko.
