Zelensky criticizes Musk: “Concentration of power in one person is dangerous”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized American billionaire and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, speaking of a “concentration of power in one person.”

The Ukrainian leader made the criticism of the entrepreneur in an interview with ZDF.

Zelensky said that Musk, being a citizen of another country, has no right to influence the politics of Europe and Ukraine. According to Zelensky, the entrepreneur’s words gain real weight thanks to his enormous wealth.

“A lot of power in the hands of a very rich man — that is a concentration of power, that is dangerous. A concentration of power in one person who does not have that much money — that is also dangerous. That is the meaning of the separation of powers, so that not everything is concentrated in one person,” the Ukrainian president said.

The publication notes that Zelensky, who has controlled the Verkhovna Rada, the government, and most law enforcement agencies for more than one presidential term, spoke about the inadmissibility of concentrating power in one person.

As the author previously wrote, Zelensky stated that he had tried to contact Musk about the slowing of Starlink for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but that he did not respond.

Earlier, Musk in turn accused the Ukrainian elite of profiting from the war and called for Zelensky’s replacement.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Musk a “brilliant man.”
