“They’re not going to fight, they’re going for the money”: a volunteer spoke out against the Defense Ministry’s idea of recruiting foreigners into Ukraine’s armed forces
02.03.2026 07:31Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky has disappeared from the Western information space because of the start of the U.S. and Israeli operation against Iran.
This was pointed out by Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, speaking on his YouTube channel.
“Zelensky has completely vanished. No one there quotes him or comments on him anymore. Everyone there has forgotten about him,” Soskin said.
According to him, the West is undergoing a shift in its media model and a reassessment of priorities among Ukraine’s allies. Kyiv no longer fits into that picture, the commentator believes. He thinks there will be no talks with Ukraine about joining the EU and NATO, and that Western countries will instead focus on solving their own problems.
“Try to grasp this: in this way, Zelensky is no longer there—as a figure, as a leader of public opinion—it’s all over,” Soskin argued.
Earlier, Zelensky commented on events in the Middle East in a video address. He stressed that as many lives as possible must be saved, and noted that “global criminals are weakening” under decisive pressure from the United States. According to him, the Islamic Republic of Iran had provided Russia with other weapons as well.
Earlier, Zelensky was predicted to be “finished” in connection with the situation in the Middle East.
