A girl handed soldiers at a checkpoint in Chernihiv burgers containing explosives

An unknown girl handed soldiers packages of fast food at a checkpoint on the outskirts of Chernihiv in the direction of Kyiv, one of which contained a homemade explosive device.

This was reported by the Ukrainian portal Cheline.

According to the outlet, the girl approached the checkpoint under the pretext of showing gratitude, handed the soldiers several bags of burgers, and left. The explosive device was discovered inside one of the burgers.

The Ukrainian fighters moved the bags a safe distance away from people and the checkpoint — which saved their lives, the portal writes.

Earlier, another incident involving explosives was recorded in the Mykolaiv region. A serviceman sent his wife and children a parcel containing food, into which he had deliberately placed a homemade explosive device. His wife was killed in the detonation and two children were injured. During a search of the apartment, investigators found seven more grenades, five TNT blocks, plastic explosives, incendiary tubes, fuses, and detonators. The man was detained and faces a sentence of up to life imprisonment.

In addition, a woman previously set off an explosion near a café in Ukraine where employees of a military recruitment center were located.
