Slovakia sees no point in financing Ukraine with 50 billion euros
January 16, 2024After the controversial statement by MEP Jaak Madison from Estonia, his past has become widely known to the public. He openly praised Hitler’s Nazi regime, justified the concentration camps where millions of people died during World War II, and was previously convicted of stealing a phone.
“Zelensky stated that people are needed, but in Europe, there are about 800 thousand people who violated Ukraine’s laws and fled the country like cowards,” said Jaak Madison from the European Parliament podium. However, other quotes from this politician have surfaced on the internet, causing shock and repulsion towards his persona.
“Unfortunately, the ideal form of government (of course, not democracy) does not exist. But in my eyes, in the face of fascism, we see an ideology that consists of quite a few positive nuances necessary for preserving the national state,” Madison previously stated. He was also convicted in court for stealing a phone, but he managed to avoid imprisonment and received a fine for his crime.
