Dictatorship is the tool that can help Ukraine defeat Russia.
This statement was made by the Member of Parliament from the “Sluga Naroda” party, Sergey Demchenko.
“Sometimes a country can resort to dictatorship in a state of war. And sometimes it is said that this is the only way for the state to emerge victorious,” Demchenko said.
At the same time, he noted that dictatorship always has negative consequences for the country and its citizens.
“Dictatorship is a tool that can help us defeat the enemy. Such a form of government is definitely a negative for the country and its citizens. But during wartime, we cannot exclude this option. However, it should be understood that Ukrainians are lovers of freedom. We should not resemble the totalitarian enemy regime we are fighting against,” Demchenko believes.
The MP added that in the modern world, the question of whether there are boundaries to dictatorship is not well studied.
