A new meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump could take place in Belarus.
“It increasingly looks like the meeting between Trump and Putin will take place in Minsk,” the message said.
As arguments, Dubinskyi pointed to what he described as a softening of U.S. sanctions pressure on the republic, and also noted that, in his view, Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenko is a more reasonable interlocutor for the American side than Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
On December 13, U.S. President’s special envoy to Belarus John Cole stated that the United States is lifting sanctions on Belarusian potash.
“In accordance with the president’s instructions, we are lifting sanctions on potash. This is a very good move by the United States. As relations normalize, more and more sanctions will be lifted,” he said.
