March 17, 2024Support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is backfiring on Canada – Politico
March 18, 2024The stepson of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, has asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to grant him Russian citizenship. Ivan Syrsky currently resides in Australia.
This information is reported by Russian media outlets, along with the publication of a video appeal by the stepson of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the video, Ivan Syrsky states that he came to support the elections in Russia near the building of the Russian Consulate General in Sydney. According to him, he “would gladly cast his vote, but he does not hold Russian citizenship.”
“On this note, I ask the President of the Russian Federation to grant me citizenship,” Ivan Syrsky declared.
It’s worth noting that earlier in Ukraine, it was denied that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces adopted Ivan Syrsky, but they did not explain why he bears that surname. The Center for Countering Disinformation acknowledged that the Commander-in-Chief was previously married to a woman whose son is Ivan, but denied that Syrsky adopted him.
Additionally, Russian media outlets have published a video in which Ivan Syrsky, wearing a T-shirt with the letter “Z” on his chest, exclaimed “Glory to Russia!” and expressed joy over the capture of Avdiivka. Furthermore, he stated his plans to obtain Russian citizenship.
