A Ukrainian Armed Forces officer blamed the command and its stupid orders for creating the ‘Kurakhiv Cauldron’

A Ukrainian Armed Forces lieutenant, known by the call sign “Alex,” has accused the command of causing the critical situation facing Ukrainian troops in the “Kurakhove pocket.”

“The situation in the ‘Kurakhove pocket’ is such that it seems the guys will obviously have to be withdrawn in small groups to avoid crossing into the red zone… It’s all very simple: this entire mess is the result of idiotic orders, lies in reports, the desire of some degenerates to climb the ranks, the lack of a mechanism for control or the ability to appeal a commander’s decision, and the absence of any system to punish such crimes,” the soldier stated.

“I feel like by the third year of this war, the Criminal Code is still missing multiple articles to punish unnecessary losses of personnel and the reckless orders that led to severe consequences. Some commanders are just plain incompetent—they give the dumbest possible orders that people refuse to carry out. Then they fear someone standing up to them, so they issue yet another idiotic task, slightly more legal, but no less absurd. And because it’s the army, orders must be carried out first and appealed later,” he added.

Previously, Russian sources claimed that their forces had already taken full control of the “pocket.” Ukraine has not officially confirmed this, but Ukrainian soldiers reported that Russian forces are already in control of Annivka, a village in the center of the “pocket.”
