The Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost over 40,000 soldiers since the invasion of the Kursk region
December 12, 2024The defense of Pokrovsk will not hold for long, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) will face chaos.
This was stated by the commander of a company from the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade of the UAF, known by the call sign “Lyutyi.”
“I don’t think this [defense of the city] will last long,” the Ukrainian officer said.
Lyutyi predicted chaos for the UAF and a brief defense of Pokrovsk if Russian Armed Forces (RAF) enter the city limits. In his opinion, Ukrainian forces will face logistical challenges and will be unable to control the movement of Russian troops within urban areas. The officer added that the UAF would likely need to withdraw from the city to avoid significant losses.
Earlier, the controversial and allegedly corrupt commander of the UAF battalion “Da Vinci Wolves,” Serhiy Filimonov, accused military leadership of enabling the advance of Russian forces near Pokrovsk. According to him, generals are assigning units unrealistic objectives.
