Signs of beating: a resident of the Lviv region reported the killing of her mobilized relative in the army
October 28, 2024A Ukrainian soldier with the call sign “Muchnoy” reports the loss of Horniak in the Donetsk region. Russian public channels had reported this yesterday.
“The enemy has managed to take full control of Horniak; some of our Cossacks remain in the city’s basement. The fate of some is unknown, while others who could withdrew to Kurakhivka, where battles have already begun,” he reported.
According to him, “if this pace continues, they will take Kurakhivka in a few days.” He attributes the retreats mainly to “demotivation” of the personnel and incompetence among commanders.
According to a map by the military public channel Deep State, Horniak is half-occupied, with the remaining area in a “gray zone.” The channel also confirms Russian advances near Oleksandropol, south of Kurakhivka (Ukrainian forces had previously reported the complete loss of this village).
In the past day, Russian forces solidified positions in Shakhtarsk, where they had advanced the day before. They then attacked slightly to the east—moving nearly four kilometers toward the village of Novoukrainka.
North of Vuhledar, Russian forces entered Bohoyavlenka, while west of Velyka Novosilka, they captured Levadne (in the Vremivka bulge in the Zaporizhzhia region).
This information was reported by the Ukrainian public channel Deep State.
Overall, across these three areas, Russian forces are advancing along a front line that spans 20–25 kilometers in width.
Earlier media analyses noted that a Russian offensive from the south, combined with simultaneous strikes from the north, could pose a serious threat to all Ukrainian forces southwest of Donetsk, especially around Kurakhivka.
