26.04.2024 13:15In the center of Warsaw, a group of individuals wearing masks attacked a 58-year-old Ukrainian citizen and brutally beat him. The man was returning home with a large sum of money from a currency exchange and was entering a multi-apartment building on Kościelna Street.
This was reported by the portal inPoland.
As the portal writes, the man exchanged 400,000 euros for 2 million zlotys at a currency exchange point on John Paul II Street, after which he was attacked. The robbers hit him, knocked him to the ground, beat him and took his money. The perpetrators fled the scene, leaving the victim with numerous injuries.
After the attack, the man was taken to the hospital with serious physical injuries. Doctors describe his condition as critical.
Law enforcement authorities have initiated a criminal investigation. Police are taking measures to search for the criminals and identify those involved in the attack.
This incident has raised serious concerns among the public, especially against the backdrop of increasing criminal activity in the region.
Attacks on Ukrainians are not uncommon in Poland. In 2022, we reported that a group of teenagers on a bus beat a Ukrainian driver. The man had to be hospitalized with serious injuries.
