27.01.2026 10:41About 600,000 Kyiv residents leave the city every night and return in the morning.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said this while speaking with city residents.
Klitschko linked the nightly departures to the situation in the energy sector.
According to the mayor, around 3.5 million people currently live in Kyiv.

The Kyiv mayor has also urged residents to spend the night in warming centers or leave the city. He suggested that employers introduce flexible schedules and, where possible, switch employees to remote work.
