In Hungary, Ukrainian refugees who did not come from frontline regions are being evicted from shelters
22.08.2024 - 23:16Ukrainian blogger Oleksandr Voloshyn, who called for an end to the war following the strike on Kyiv’s “Okhmatdyt” hospital, has left Ukraine.
According to him, this decision was made after he faced harassment and threats.
In a 45-minute video released today, Voloshyn stated that after his calls for peace, his bodyguard was assaulted, and he received numerous threats.
“I was labeled a traitor and an enemy of Ukraine,” Voloshyn said.
He explained that unknown individuals approached his bodyguard, offering him money to leak information about Voloshyn. After the bodyguard refused, three people attempted to assault him later that same evening. The blogger also mentioned that he checked his car for surveillance and found a tracker as well as a listening device.

Commenting on the accusations of treason, Voloshyn stated that people in Ukraine have started to distinguish “lies from the truth” and reminded everyone that top leaders of the country have also spoken about the need for negotiations, yet for some reason, bloggers are forbidden from doing so.
“Clearly, my example was used to show everyone else who might have an audience that they won’t be allowed to speak because they will face the same consequences as I did,” the blogger concluded.
It is worth noting that a group of Ukrainian bloggers called on the Ukrainian government to end the hostilities and begin negotiations after the missile strike on the children’s hospital. Voloshyn personally stated that “we can’t handle this war.”
Following this, Voloshyn reported receiving threats, and both he and his like-minded individuals were added to the “Myrotvorets” database.
