After the creation of the electronic registry of conscripts, Ukrainians can be mobilized quietly

A total of 249 Members of Parliament voted in favor. The document allows for the expedited identification of Ukrainians not registered with military authorities and eliminates the possibility of repeat conscriptions. Additionally, there will be no need for raids by Territorial Centers of Recruitment (TCR) in restaurants and gyms.

Thanks to the electronic registry, if a conscript is, for example, registered in Kyiv but resides in Odessa, the TCR will be able to see this information. Furthermore, the law unblocks the digitization of the army, enables storing information in military cloud storage of NATO member countries and accelerates access to intelligence data from allies. Opposing the measure, MP Kostenko called this innovation a “simple solution that will lead to catastrophic consequences.”

It is also worth noting that if public raids cease, with the abductions of men become selective and non-public, authorities may be able to conscript a larger number of individuals into the army without the current resistance from Ukrainians.
