AFU could be encircled: Ukraine confirms loss of Starye Terny near Kurakhovo in Donetsk region and rapid advancement of Russian Forces in the ‘pocket’ to the South

The map from the Ukrainian military public outlet Deep State confirms the loss of Stari Terny near Kurakhove in the Donetsk region, as well as a significant Russian advance in the “pocket” southward towards Uspenivka.

If Uspenivka is captured, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) could face near-total encirclement in this “pocket.”

There is also reported progress by Russian forces within Kurakhove itself.

On December 4, Ukrainian military analyst Bohdan Myroshnykov reported that the village of Stari Terny, a key position for the defense of Kurakhove, was lost by the UAF in just one day.

Additionally, a Ukrainian soldier with the call sign “Muchnoy” stated yesterday that Russian forces had fully cleared Novopustynka in the Pokrovske direction in the Donetsk region and had entrenched themselves there. According to him, Russian troops have now begun their assault on Novotroitske.
