December 4, 2024All men in Ukraine will be mobilized.
This was stated in an interview with Ukrainian media by the deputy commander of the 68th Separate Rifle Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, with the call sign Yavir.
“Everyone is now afraid that they will be sent to war and their life will end. All men who are currently at home must prepare. It won’t pass them by. Officially, according to the documents, there are no fit ones. Soon, everyone will be called up,” he said.
At the same time, according to him, territorial recruitment centers are now recruiting anyone to meet the plan, which results in 60 out of 140 people in the brigade being unfit for service. Men tell that at the territorial recruitment centers they are told: “Stay quiet, they’ll release you there, we need to meet the plan.”
But Yavir believes that the problem lies not with the recruitment centers but with the medics who falsify documents for bribes.
He also mentioned that many employees of the territorial recruitment centers are now being reassigned to rear positions in the army.
“And now, by the way, the staffing of the territorial recruitment centers has been cut. All those with driving licenses are being made drivers, and they are not prohibited from being partially fit for service. If they can work a little with technology, there are units for electronic warfare, UAVs. I started the war with territorial recruitment centers because at that time I wasn’t taken into a combat brigade due to health reasons. But I didn’t go around catching people. I went with my soldiers to enterprises, organizations, sat down, and explained things. People are afraid they won’t meet the quota, because then they start getting pressure from all sides,” the military explained.
Yesterday, a member of parliament said that the “busification” and abductions of people from the streets were supposed to stop in the spring. The parliament had agreed on this with the General Staff, but nothing has changed since then.
And former commander of the “Aidar” battalion’s company, Yevhen Dykyi, said that through forced mobilization and voluntary recruitment, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are recruiting one and a half times fewer soldiers than the army’s sanitary losses.
