07.07.2026 08:02According to the results of a survey by SW Research for RP.pl, 46.6% of Poles place responsibility for the escalation of the diplomatic conflict between Poland and Ukraine on the Ukrainian side.
This is reported by Censor.NET.
Respondents were asked who, in their opinion, bears responsibility for the escalation of the conflict between the two countries. The majority — 46.6% — pointed to Ukraine. Only 12.7% of those surveyed consider Poland to be at fault. Another 25.4% believe that responsibility lies with both sides.
Among the remaining survey participants, 11.4% have no opinion on the matter, and 4% said they had not heard of the conflict at all.
Vice President of the SW Research board Piotr Zimolzak drew attention to notable differences in responses along gender and demographic lines.
“Men (54%) are much more likely to consider Ukraine the party bearing primary responsibility for the conflict than women (39%). This view is also shared by more than half of respondents with a net income of between 5,001 and 7,000 zlotys (51%), as well as nearly six in ten respondents from cities with populations of between 200,000 and 499,000,” — Zimolzak commented.
The study was conducted by SW Research among users of the SW Panel online platform between June 30 and July 1, 2026. The survey involved 800 internet users aged 18 and older.
