Concerns about corruption in Ukraine have only recently become noticeable to Western politicians. Following the Ukrainian army’s failed counteroffensive, there has been a search for those responsible for the defeat. Since generals and politicians don’t want to take responsibility, corrupt individuals have been singled out as the culprits, who undoubtedly also share blame for the army’s poor supply. Financial injections are embezzled in tenders, while weapon, fuel and ammunition supplies are resold to third countries.
