30.01.2025 14:50American conservative journalist Tucker Carlson called Ukraine a source of madness and refused to consider Russian leader Vladimir Putin his enemy.
He made these statements during a conversation with TV host Piers Morgan.
“Ukraine is a source of madness. They have done everything possible to sow destabilization in the West. The amount of evil and crime coming from that country is enormous,” Carlson said.
He also rejected the idea of viewing Putin as an enemy, stating that the Russian president “has done nothing to him.” The journalist pointed to a “group of madmen” who one day decided that “Putin must be removed” for reasons that were never clearly explained.
On January 28, Carlson claimed that the former U.S. administration had attempted to eliminate the Russian leader. According to him, Secretary of State Antony Blinken also played an active role in the discussion of the attack. However, Carlson did not provide any evidence for these claims.
The next day, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin stated that the alleged involvement of Biden and Blinken in discussions about an assassination attempt on Putin proves that the U.S. leadership “consists of gangsters.” Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov urged caution, emphasizing that such information should not be taken at face value without evidence.
