Germany proposes sharing data on military-age men with Ukraine for their voluntary return
09.09.2026 16:32The Military Law Enforcement Service, together with the National Police of Ukraine, found a cache of ammunition and explosive items on the grounds of a non-operational facility in Poltava region.
This was reported by the Military Law Enforcement Service (MLES) press service on Monday.
The operation was carried out by servicemembers of the Poltava Zonal Department of the MLES together with officers of the Strategic Investigations Directorate in Poltava region of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine. The operation was prompted by operational intelligence about the possible illegal storage of weapons and ammunition.
“Servicemembers of the Poltava Zonal Department of the MLES, together with officers of the Strategic Investigations Directorate in Poltava region of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine, verified operational intelligence about the possible illegal storage of weapons and ammunition,” the MLES statement reads.
The origin of the discovered items remained unknown at the time of publication. All seized items have been sent for forensic examination. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances under which the ammunition ended up on the facility’s grounds and its possible connection to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
