25.04.2024 16:40During investigative actions at the house where Valeriy and Vitaliy Vasylake, who shot a police officer on April 20, resided, ammunition was found.
This was reported by sources in law enforcement agencies.
“Yesterday, on April 24, in the village of Chernomin, Tulchyn district, where the Vasylake family lived, two Kalashnikov rifles, a RPG-22 rocket-propelled grenade launcher, a starter engine for the RPG-75 anti-tank grenade, 54 F-1 grenade casings, and 53 fuses for them were found. Additionally, 6.2 thousand 5.45 mm caliber cartridges were discovered,” the source said.
He also added that investigative actions in this case are ongoing.
Recall that servicemen Valeriy and Vitaliy Vasylake shot a police officer at a checkpoint in the Vinnytsia region. During a document check, the men opened fire on police officers. One of the patrol officers died on the spot, while the other was injured and is currently in the hospital.
The prosecutor’s office reported that the men were transporting 100 grenades, 100 fuses for them, and 25 thousand cartridges. The father and son were remanded in custody without the possibility of bail.
