An MP explained why the Cabinet of Ministers is making the wrong decisions on energy policy

Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers is making the wrong decisions because, at meetings, it is systematically being “fed” false information about the state of the energy sector.

This was stated by Verkhovna Rada MP Serhii Nahorniak; a fragment of his interview was circulated by political Telegram channels.

“The problem in the energy sector exists because of the systematic lies of the leadership. They say: ‘Just a little longer and there will be protective structures, gas in storage, we will repel all attacks.’ But in reality this is a lie and the situation is very difficult. At these meetings they are afraid to call things by their names. One or two leaders speak and say everything is fine, and the third, when it’s his turn, thinks: ‘If I say everything is bad, everyone will decide I’m not a proper leader.’ Everyone inflates this soap bubble of lies and lives inside it,” the MP said.

Earlier, Nahorniak said that Russian strikes destroyed Kyiv’s CHP plants with missiles against which the Patriot system is powerless.
