Nausėda: final decision on redeployment of American troops in Europe has not yet been made
18.05.2026 09:30Former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak was released from the detention center on Monday morning, after the full bail amount had been collected. He had spent the weekend in custody.
According to media reports, around 200 donors contributed to the bail. The total amount exceeded the required sum, coming to approximately €3 million, while roughly €2.7 million had been required. Among the contributors were some who transferred as little as one kopek.
After the amount was collected, Yermak’s lawyer Ihor Fomin said he was heading to the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) to obtain a certificate confirming the bail payment. Shortly afterward, a video of Yermak at liberty appeared in the public domain.
The first major contribution was made by former head coach of the Ukrainian national football team Serhiy Rebrov — approximately €584,000. Another approximately €127,000 was contributed by Serhiy Svyryda, a lawyer and former partner at the law firm Asters, who, according to journalists, had been Yermak’s classmate. Ukrainian actor, producer, and public figure Hryhoriy Hryshkan transferred approximately €13.
Roza Tapanova, a member of the supervisory boards of Ukrnafta and Oschadbank and director general of the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve, pledged to transfer 8 million hryvnias.
The bail could not be collected before the weekend, which is why Yermak spent Saturday and Sunday in the detention center.
