November 29, 2024At a state-owned energy company, men were issued fake mobilization deferments in exchange for bribes ranging from $200 to $2,000.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the lead engineer of the company fabricated fake extracts from orders by the Ministry of Economy regarding mobilization deferments, where he entered false information about citizens being employed at state-owned critical infrastructure enterprises and receiving deferrals. He also forged documents regarding the critical status of these enterprises.
In total, he issued such “deferments” for 454 individuals, collecting between $200 and $2,000 from each.
Earlier, the media reported that in Volyn, it was possible to obtain a military service exemption for $3,000. To collect money from the “clients,” the head of the territorial recruitment center involved his neighbor as an intermediary.
Additionally, members of the Verkhovna Rada revealed that in Ukraine, blank mobilization summons forms with stamps were being sold. Such document forgery helps individuals avoid receiving an official summons. The price for a blank summons with stamps starts at 1,000 UAH (approximately 23 euros).
