‘At the street, in the gym, cafe or at a checkpoint’: in the Darnytskyi Territorial Recruitment Center of Kyiv, it was stated that agendas can be delivered ‘anywhere’

In the Darnytskyi Territorial Recruitment Center of Kyiv, it was stated that summonses can be served “anywhere” – on the street, in a gym, café or at a checkpoint.

This was announced by the deputy head of the Darnytskyi Territorial Recruitment Center, Volodymyr Novosiadlyi.

“Well, why not?! The legislation does not specifically define the place for serving summons. Activities to notify the population are carried out at home addresses, at the place of work and anywhere else,” Novosiadlyi said.

According to him, people may be stopped not without reason, but because they may be Russian agents. Novosiadlyi confirmed that summonses are issued at checkpoints and military commissars check people’s documents. He noted that the “commandant” authorized them to do this “and not only that.” However, the staff of the territorial recruitment center cannot detain a person by force – only the police can.

Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned military commissars who grab people on the streets and spoke out against forced street mobilization.

Earlier, social media posts claimed that summonses were being distributed at new checkpoints in Kyiv, but the authorities did not directly confirm this.

However, territorial recruitment centers have already stated that at the new checkpoints in the Kyiv region, they are looking for draft dodgers.
